WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Indawo, a leading Construction Company based in the Northern suburbs, is looking for a Site Construction Manager.

The main function is to run projects | manage staff | measure | cost management and to be accountable for coordinating multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring that each project is completed safely, on time, within budgetary constraints and to the satisfaction of the client or professional team, to Indawo’s high quality of service and end product.

Key Tasks:

  • Be able to understand specifications to ensure they can be completed to clients satisfactory (Desired quality standards and delivery timelines).
  • Check requisitions for materials | tools | equipment | colours |tints | measurements | etc. against specifications.
  • Adhere to the budget for the delivery of the project as agreed with Sales/Tender Department | Client.
  • Monitor performance against budget continuously to ensure that any deviations from budget are timeously addressed.
  • Conduct progress reviews with Foreman (Site compliancy | Toolbox talk | Project Progress | Etc.).
  • Ensure that performance-related problems are addressed promptly.
  • • Be capable of coaching/training and ensure that all site staff have the necessary skills | knowledge and abilities to execute their tasks.
  • Conduct regular workmanship inspections & ensure that corrective action is taken.
  • Identify problems and find cost effective solutions to resolve.
  • Inspect storage facilities and ensure that any possible loss, theft, or poor equipment & stock handling issues are addressed.
  • Conduct site risk & loss inspections and take proactive appropriate action where required if any risk or loss issues are identified.
  • Ensure that SHE File job card, appointments, medicals, id’s, etc is attended to according to policy guidelines.
  • Hand over SHE File to appointed Foreman and ensure accurate, timeous completion.
  • Inspect SHE File on all sites at least weekly and take proactive, corrective action where required.
  • Conduct health & safety inspections on site and take proactive corrective action where appropriate to minimize these risks to personnel, clients & the public.

DRIVER

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A DRIVER

Indawo, a leading Construction Company based in the Northern suburbs, is looking for a Driver.

The main function is to transport staff (to and from sites), collect orders, and to be accountable for coordinating multiple site orders | collections | deliveries, being on time as per Indawo’s high quality of service.

Key Tasks:

1. Communication

  • • Monthly feedback meeting with Production in relation to performance.
  • • Liaise with Production to ensure that standards of suppliers are kept to our expectations.
  • • Report any challenges in day-to-day activities to promote efficiency.

2. Duties & Responsibilities

  • • Calculate the most economical route for your deliveries.
  • • Read maps or Set GPS to determine your daily route.
  • • Ensure all products are delivered on time.
  • • Load and organize materials and plant from store and suppliers into your vehicle and unload products in and out of your vehicle as needed throughout the day.
  • • Ensure that all orders issued to suppliers are supplied in full upon collection.
  • • Report any short deliveries to Pre-Production member before COB.
  • • Check in with Pre-production member throughout the day for additional deliveries.
  • • Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork.
  • • Dress code to be representable at all times.
  • • Follow all traffic rules and regulations of the road at all times.
  • • Follow all company and safety rules for loading and unloading of your vehicle.
  • • Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while un-route to the necessary departments.
  • • Refuel vehicle when required.
  • • Assist with collecting of delivery notes and time sheets as required.

3. Monitor & Control

  • • Inform fleet manager, every Monday morning, as per your mileage count for your vehicle.
  • • Petrol slip report to be complete at the end of every month and handed to the

accounts department.

  • • Tracker reports to be completed daily and handed to your allocated.

4. Maintenance & Repairs

  • • Inspect vehicle daily, before starting with deliveries, looking for anything problematic like low tire pressure, tire wear, oil and water levels. Also check if all lights and indicators are working)
  • • Make sure that vehicle is delivered timeously when booked for a service.
  • • Preform a thorough vehicle inspection once a week on a Friday and complete a vehicle inspection sheet.
  • • Always keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy. Vehicle to be washed once a week.

5. Health & Safety

  • • All personal PPE to be worn when loading and offloading of material and plant.
