Cape Town roofing contractor, Indawo says that roofing in Cape Town can be a dangerous task. The high winds, extreme summer heat and slippery surfaces can be dangerous. Worker safety is of paramount importance for Indawo.

In this case, scaffolding was erected to allow for worker access. Safety lines were installed to ensure all workers were safe at all times while on the roof.

As most of the work had to be done over an existing roof, all precautions had to be taken to ensure that the site was safe.

Scope of Work – Cape Town roofing US Erika and Nemesia

Indawo was commissioned to install a new roof without removing the old existing structure. This meant manufacturing new beams and removing problematic box gutters. A new roof structure was built on top of the existing, damaged roof. The new roof sheeting used is SAFLOK 700 concealed fix roof sheeting and new aluminium gutters were installed.

The result is a far more aesthetically pleasing roof and no more leaking.
